About

What Jam Radio is

Jam Radio is a lightweight web application for creating small listening rooms around a host's Spotify playback. It is designed for short-lived sessions, simple chat, and follow-along listening without requiring downloads or browser extensions.

What the site does

Hosts connect a Spotify account, open a jam room, and share the current playback flow. Participants can follow the host's track changes from their own Spotify accounts.

What the site does not do

Jam Radio does not distribute downloadable software, executables, browser extensions, or bundled installers. It is a browser-based application only.

Core infrastructure

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses the Spotify Web API for account connection, playback metadata, and playback control where the user has granted permission.

Operational details

The service stores room metadata, host passcode hashes, short-lived room chat, and encrypted Spotify refresh tokens needed to maintain connected sessions. Details are described in the Privacy Policy.

Security and abuse posture

Jam Radio is intended to be a small, transparent web service. The site publishes a security.txt file, a clear contact path, and human-readable privacy and terms pages so network administrators and users can verify what the domain is for.
